FAQs
Cleaning your walk-in tub or shower is similar to cleaning other surfaces in your bathroom. We recommend using a non-abrasive, ammonia-free, mild cleaner that is safe on acrylic, such as disinfecting wipes, window/glass cleaner, or multipurpose bathroom cleaner.
Each month, purge and clean the tub’s entire system to remove body oils, bath oils, soap residue and other build-up. Do this by filling your tub to a level just above the highest whirlpool jet with warm water.
Mix a cup of bleach and a spoonful of automatic dishwashing soap into the water. Turn your system on, let it run for 15 minutes and drain the water.
Next, refill the tub with warm water only. Let the system run for an additional 15 minutes to rinse out the tub’s plumbing.
Drain your tub and use the shower wand to rinse off the surface before wiping it with a soft, clean cloth.
After you use your walk-in tub, use the handheld shower wand to rinse the tub surfaces with warm water. This removes limescale and soap scum buildup before it sticks to the surface.
Once a week, use a non-abrasive, ammonia-free, mild cleaner that is safe on acrylic, such as disinfecting wipes, window/glass cleaner, or multipurpose bathroom cleaner. Wipe the tub surfaces with a soft sponge or washcloth. Avoid wire brushes, steel wool or any other abrasives. Rinse the surfaces and wipe with a clean, dry cloth. Clean the door seal weekly as well. For this, you can use rubbing alcohol.

Once your walk-in tub drains after a bath, use the handheld shower wand to rinse the tub surfaces. This helps to remove any limescale and soap scum buildup before it sticks to the surface. Your tub also has a nonporous sanitary gel coating, which prevents mold, mildew and bacteria.
Wipe the door seal with alcohol once a month, and leave the door ajar when not in use.
